Starting August 2024, I will be a Lilly COOP student. I will be joining the Contamination Control Group of PR05 at Lilly del Caribe, ensuring the cleaning and contamination control strategies, initially for the Fermentation Process, and hopefully later on, the entire manufacturing process. For the initial project, I will be able to incorporate different methods to ensure and validate the cleanliness of the equipment used in the Fermentation process of different molecules. In the near future, I hope to join projects involving the purification process of insulin. Given that this will be my first industry experience, I hope to learn of the multiple manufacturing processes within the biopharmaceutical industry, learn how projects work within the different groups in the company and how they complement each other. I also hope to gain knowledge and skills, while being able to apply the ones I have gained throughout my degree.
